SEOMint (“we”, “our”, the “app”) is a Shopify app that helps merchants optimize their store’s SEO. This policy explains what data we access and how we use it.

What we access

When you install SEOMint on your Shopify store, we access — through Shopify’s Admin API and only with your permission — the following store data needed to provide SEO features:

Products, collections, pages and blog posts (title, description, handle, images, SEO metafields)
URL redirects and store metafields we create for SEO
Basic store information (store name, domain, currency)

We do not access or store your customers’ personal data (names, emails, orders or addresses). SEOMint only works with product and content SEO data.

How we use it

Data is used solely to provide the app’s features — editing SEO metadata, generating structured data, analyzing content, suggesting improvements and managing redirects. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

AI generation

When you use the “Generate with AI” feature, the relevant product/page title and description are sent to Google’s Gemini API to draft an SEO title and meta description. This content is processed by Google under their terms; we do not send customer data.

Data storage & retention

App session tokens and SEO settings are stored securely on our servers. When you uninstall the app, we delete your session data (and honour Shopify’s shop/redact request sent about 48 hours after uninstall).

Data protection requests

We support Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, shop/redact). Since we don’t store customer personal data, there is no customer data to return or delete.
